NewBeginnings Charitable Trust (NCT) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) in India working to give empowerment, education, and opportunities to the underprivileged. They specifically aid the women, young girls, and children of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Their mission is simple—to make communities stakeholders in their own success. What this means is that the benefactors of NCT's work are in turn beneficiaries, creating layered development as opposed to imposed change. This not only increases social cohesion within communities—it supports resilience.

NCT operates several volunteer efforts throughout India, including skills training for the youth, education on women's hygiene, and counseling for those in crisis. International volunteers can help in a wide range of topics, like rural health care, sanitation, organic agriculture, and more.

In order to make their volunteer recruitment process more streamlined, legible, and attractive, NCT asked After You to redesign their volunteer manual. The existing document is 26 pages and is mostly comprised of text with a few images between. Helping NCT with this design task solidified and updated their brand identity.

This was After You's third project with NCT—as an organization, we've designed them an informational brochure and revised all of their website's text. Working with NCT has been flexible, undemanding, and ultimately rewarding.
